BALANCE LARGE INTESTINE &TRIPLE HEATER MERIDIANS WITH BREATHING EXERCISE

It is very important to keep the large intestine healthy and moving. If constipation persists, the toxins are recirculated and sent to many body parts.

Start on the left arm, moving the descending colon first to avoid a "log jam", working up the arm. Proceed as follows:

1. Large Intestine (LI) 4 (place right thumb ini the pad between left thumb and left index finer) & the Triple Heater (TH) 3 (place 4 fingers between bones of the ring and pinky fingers).

2. Triple Heater (TH) 7 (place 4 fingers between bones of the ring and pinky fingers). This is not a balancing point. Rather it helps with peristalsis.

3. Large Intestine (LI) 11 (with the arm bent, place right thumb in the hollow at the end of the crease of the elbow & Triple Heater (TH) 10 (place all 4 fingers just in front of the elbow).

4. Repeat on right arm.

Do these every day, 1-3times, depending on severity of constipation. All of these points encourage peristalsis (none of these should be used on a pregnant woman because they may cause contractions & induce labor)

DEEP BREATHING EXERCISES
Deep Breathing is very important in any body function. It triggers our parasympathetic nervous system, neutralizes stress and elicits a calming feeling and so helps to reduce anxiety, helps move the lymph to detox (Unlike the heart, the lymphatic system does not have its own built-in pump. In order to keep the toxins moving, it relies on breathing and bodily movement to detoxify), helps better quality sleep, balances blood pressure, helps in weight loss (keeps our cells in an aerobic state & encourages the burning of fat), helps reduce pain by oxygenating the blood, which causes our brain to release endorphins (the feel good hormone) and mental clarity (helps us relax, re-center and brings us back to the present moment).
With each hold on the arm meridian balancing points do this: .

1 Inhale deeply
.2. Hold your breath for 3 seconds. This helps stabilize the heart.

 3. Exhale slowly to the count of 10-20 seconds.
